Add JSM Project
Add a JSM project so AdaptiveSurvey can show project analytics and project configuration.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”The JSM project must already exist and be visible to you in Jira.
Add the JSM project
Section titled “Add the JSM project”- Open AdaptiveSurvey Settings.
- Select Projects.
- Select + Add project.
- Search for the JSM project.
- Select the project.
- Select Save.
The project appears under Tracked JSM Projects.
After adding the project
Section titled “After adding the project”Grant AdaptiveSurvey permissions in the JSM space/project if you have not already done so:
- AdaptiveSurvey - View project analytics
- AdaptiveSurvey - Configure project settings
Permissions are managed in Jira under Space settings -> Access -> Space permissions.
Common mistakes
Section titled “Common mistakes”| Problem | Check |
|---|---|
| The JSM project was not added in AdaptiveSurvey Settings | Open AdaptiveSurvey Settings -> Projects and confirm it appears under Tracked JSM Projects. |
| The project was added, but users cannot see it | Grant AdaptiveSurvey - View project analytics in the JSM space/project. |
| The user has AdaptiveSurvey permission but still cannot access data | Confirm the user also has normal Jira/JSM access to the project data. |
| AdaptiveSurvey still shows the empty state | Confirm the user can view at least one tracked JSM project. |
| A user can view the project but cannot configure it | Grant AdaptiveSurvey - Configure project settings. |
Remove a project
Section titled “Remove a project”Use Remove project only when AdaptiveSurvey should stop tracking that JSM project. Removing a project from AdaptiveSurvey does not delete the Jira project or change Jira space permissions.
